Learner’s Preschool

three primary goals of Early Learners are safety,
Kindergarten preparation and peer socialization
skill building. Well trained and caring staff

Out – Afterschool Program
School’s
Out is an afterschool daycare program designed
for youth from area elementary and middle schools.
Certified van drivers will pick up from the
schools listed below and transport each to the
“Y” each day. Children participate in safe,
educational activities that teach character
development. Additional all students participate
in the Activate America program. For more information

operate on the Kanawha County Schools schedule.

Bright
Beginnings is a unique collaboration between
the law offices of Pullin, Fowler and Flanagan,
PLLC and the YMCA of the Kanawha Valley . Enrollment
is ongoing for children ages 6 weeks to Preschool.
Web cameras and ProCare software are among the
high-tech features of the Center. Children at
the center will also have a great head start
with Creative Curriculum currently being used
by Kanawha County Schools. If you would like

Tyler
Mountain Child Development
The
Tyler Mt. YMCA also offers child care for ages
6 weeks – 2 years and preschool for children
ages 3-5 years old. All ages will be using Creative
Curriculum in the classrooms. Creative Curriculum
will be used in both classrooms, along with
weekly themes and other age appropriate activities.
Creative Curriculum emphasizes the development
of social competence, learning through play,
fostering independence and self-esteem. All
prices include breakfast, lunch and snack. Meals
served are in compliance with the CACFP (child

Tyler
Mountain Preschool
The
ages of 3, 4 or 5 is the stage when children
start to become more independent and responsive
to other children. There are tow preschool classes
offered at the Tyler Mt. YMCA. The preschool
class is primary for those children that are
3-4 and will not be attending school in the
fall. Both classes are curriculum based and
focus on preparing children for school. Children
in these classes must be potty trained.
