a full range of health and wellness programs
and services that can help your employees’ look
and feel their best. Our YMCA Corporate Program
staff can provide you with onsight seminars
to help understand the added benefits of an
employee health and wellness program. For more

Healthy
Eating Nutrition Class
Participants work with a registered dietician
and will learn weight management techniques
in a group setting and receive individualized
follow up using email and face to face meetings.
Food records are analyzed weekly, pre and post
body fat testing; resting heart rate, flexibility,
body weight and blood pressure are tested.

Equipment Orientation
The Staff of the Health and Fitness center will
introduce you to the facility and set up a personalized
weight training and cardiovascular program to
meet your specific goals and needs. We strongly
encourage all new members to have an evaluation.

information or to schedule an appointment!
Y’s Fitness Evaluation Program
Physical fitness can be measured, improved and
guided to an enhanced feeling of well-being,
thus leading to a better life. Your body’s ability
to meet the demands placed upon it can be measured
by a series of simple evaluations. The Y’s Way
to Physical Fitness Evaluation will access the
following:
height, weight, resting heart rate, blood pressure,body
composition, ideal weight, and flexibility and
training heart rate. To begin the evaluation,
pick up a fitness evaluation form from the front
desk and complete the medical history department.

Body Bar and Step
The Body Bar class is an exciting and energetic
workout that focuses on form, technique, and
execution to give you a strong, defined body.
Some step work may be included. Class size is
limited.
Hard Core
Get on the ball and sculpt the abs you have
always wanted. 30 minutes dedicated to your
abdominal area and back that will develop functional
endurance, healthy posture and balance.
Body Power
A great muscle conditioning class that adds
variety to your workout! Strengthen all your
major muscle groups by incorporating body bars,
dumbbells, resistance tubing and free weights.
Cardio X-press
An efficient freestyle class that will allow
you to achieve your workout in 45 minutes. The
combination of high-energy freestyle and step
movement make this both challenging and fun.
Step Pump & Jump
Not for the faint of heart. This dynamic class
integrates step patterns and jump ropes for
an
intense cardio challenge coupled with resistance
intervals using bands, free weights and body
bars.
Beginner’s Combo
Designed for those who are new to fitness or
ready to get back into fitness. Focus will be
on a variety of cardio, strength training, endurance
building and flexibility to increase your fitness
level.
Pump
A “low-impact” strength class designed to develop
core strength and muscle definition using Body
bars, hand-held weights and resistance bands.
Punch!
An intense and unique aerobic workout based
on power moves such as kicking, punching and
jumping.
Total Body
It includes all major components of fitness—cardio,
weight training and flexibility. The class is
designed for
a range of fitness levels, whether you are a
beginner or advanced. Easy to follow aerobic
moves combined with strength exercise using
free weights, body bars and/or resistance bands
give you a Total Body Workout!
Turbo Step
An intermediate to advanced step class using
more advanced choreography to create high intensity
moves.

Classes Designed for the Older Adult (55+ or
those with physical limitations)
Senior Fit
This comprehensive fitness class is for men
and women looking for a low impact program designed
specifically for older adults. Components of
the class are aerobic conditioning, strength
training, stretching and flexibility with an
emphasis on balance and agility. Healthy lifestyles
are encouraged and current updates from well-known
medical centers are distributed regularly.
Senior Power
A 40 minute instructional time is designed to
orient the older adult through strength training
in the YMCA fitness center, facilitated on an
individual basis by the instructor.
Senior Spirit
A monthly luncheon is held the second Wednesday
of each month. This is a covered dish affair
with a speaker and or presentation each month.

(Formerly
Bone Wise Exercise)
Muscular Strength and Range of Movement-Have
fun and move to the music through a variety
of exercises designed to increase bone density,
muscular strength, range of movement and activity
for daily living skills. Hand-held weights,
elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered
for resistance, and a chair is used for seated
or standing
support.
Gentle Yoga
A beginning yoga class for older adults or those
with no yoga experience. A gentle approach to
learning basic poses, proper body alignment
and mindful breathing. This class will focus
on functional movement, circulation and joint
mobility. Free to Members!

Spin
Members Only –Your coach will motivate and guide
you on a great ride for approximately 45 minutes.
The Y spin room is equipped with 15 Greg LeMond
spin bikes that are belt driven for a smooth
ride. Designed to challenge any fitness level.
Members must register for each day and time.
Fee: 7 week session- $21 1x/ week
*Spin passes available for purchase- $10/5 classes
HeartZones Cycling
A dramatically different way to challenge your
cardiorespiratory system based on YOUR personal
heart rate. In order to participate in HeartZones
Cycling, you must have a SUB-MAX TEST which
is held prior to the start of each session and
you need to bring a heart rate monitor.
Fee: 7 week session- $21
Ballroom
Dance
This class will include a variety of ballroom
dances. Put on your dancing shoes (preferably
flat smooth leather soles-no heels) and let’s
get moving! Partners not required but registration
is.

Mat Pilates
This training method focuses on improving flexibility
and strength for the entire body without adding
bulk. Performed completely on a mat to create
a sleek, toned physique while improving body
awareness, posture and abdominal and back strength.

Yoga
All classes offer a flow style yoga based on
the primary series to accommodate all levels
of students. Strengthens the musculature, improves
flexibility, calms the mind and decreases stress.
It moves each joint in the body through its
full range of motion— stretching, strengthening
and balancing each area.
